Within a long, narrow plan with 16 foot high ceilings Berg Design created separate living and service areas using the concept of a box within a box. A walnut wrapper encases the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom leaving an orderly high ceiling living room. The sleeping area is separated from the living area with translucent panels which allow for borrowed light and a degree of privacy. The long hallway is used as an art gallery.
